For the children of Madagascar
Hello, my name is Cinzia. Thank you for visiting our web site. I have established Fihavanana Association in 1997 in Antananarivo, Madagascar. The purpose of the association is to help in raising the orphans and the poorest children of the country and to help them believe in their future.
Why should we help the children?

Because the children of today are the hope of tomorrow.
Let us act so that they grow in dignity and in self-respect.
Let us empower them to break the illiteracy and poverty’s chains.
Because the children constitute our dreams, our desires and our destiny.

What is the meaning of “FIHAVANANA”?
In the Malagasy language “fihavanana” is expressed by the concept of solidarity and fraternity, literally “to hold out one’s hand to someone”, and it is a very important expression in the local culture. For this reason I chose this expression for the name of Association.

Through our Association you can “hold out your hand” to one or more children and become a partner of their future.		 the children constitute our dreams, our desires and our destiny
How can you help ?

Through sponsorships : the sposorship that you pay goes to the catholic private school for the following activities : schooling, food, drugs, holidays and a savings bank account for each child. The adoption of one child cost 30 Euro per month.
Through opened donations, which will be used to pay schoolings, the books food. drugs, and several other actions intended to improve the life of the children and their families.

Where does the money go ?

Entirely to the children or to their families, through the persons in charge of the various centers with which association collaborates. Our Association does not hold from the sponsorships any fee for the running costs whether fixed or operational. The donations are managed by me and two Malagasy collaborators, Mireille and Robène.

An innovation :

this year, beside Fihavanana Association, I have created the
« FOUNDATION AKBARALY »which comes from my family name. The Foundation aim is to carry out medical, agricultural, and educational projects for the Malagasy population and other countries which need our assistance. For more details please visit our website is: www.fondationakbaraly.org
