Colore le Monde (Color the World) Association

The association, Color the World, was created a few years ago by three young French women: Mélanie Garnotel, Camille Branche and Carine Belabbas. In September 2012, we received a “random” email from them; they wished to know if the Fihavanana was interested in a Plastic Arts workshop for children and needy adolescents at their centers.
We receive this kind of demand very often and try the maximum to give assistance. However, we sometimes perceive that the proposed program does not conform to our requirements or the center’s, with which we collaborate, requirements or even the kid’s expectations. With Color the World this was not at all the case. All of the world was enchanted! Our collaboration began in the month of December, 2010 for the distribution of school kits and week long workshops for the children of the TO.PA.ZA Orphanage. This was so fruitful, that it provided a place for a second project for September 2011 that ran the entire month!

The Association Color the World was put not only to the free disposition of human resources, but also brought a large quantity of material. Mélanie and Camille traveled with tons of reams of paper, colored cartons, crayons, colors, watercolors, markers, pastels, all material for bricolage, mosaics, decoupage, and all imaginable and possible artistic expressions…not counting the books, DVDs, and mind games... a treasure for the children and adolescents who had the chance to meet them. It was a real pleasure to work with these women in a relaxed atmosphere of good humor, complicity, and joy.

When they returned a second time they were so enthusiastic about seeing our kids again that they included two other volunteers: Mathieu and Aurélien! They organized the “sport sciences”…it goes without saying that they arrived equipped with balls, soccer balls, rackets and all materials for the healthy and energetic sport activities !

The Fihavanana Association wish the team of Color the World to come back quickly, and hope that in the future we will be visited by Carine,…who we know of only by email and photo… A great thank you to Color the World! These links provided for further information:
